Porch Sitters Union Member!!

Great time to enjoy porches, sip coffee/tea in the morning, lemonade in the afternoon and enjoy just about anything that works for you any particular time of day! There is actually an established Porch Sitters Union and I would say that being a member of that is certainly a sign that you are "more blessed than stressed." A porch is one of the most relaxing places to be! I have included a link to an open letter from the founder of the official Porch Sitters Union. "It was good to see you, if even for a moment. We got to visit with Wes for a while today. I just love his enthusiasm. And I need to share a MBTS moment with you. Yesterday, I was going in to get my CMA Fest packet at the Bridgestone Arena. My heart goes out to all those souls that help with this event each year. Anyway, as I was going in, there was a man telling people where the correct entrances were for various ticket holders. He looked frazzled. That's until he saw my MBTS shirt and bag. He said, "Hey, I love that." I thanked him and of course I pulled out one of your cards (I'm out of your bookmarks) and gave it to him. He thanked me and said he would be ordering. And he seemed happier after that. He was greeting everyone with a smile.Thank you for all you do and thank you for being my friend...Beverly"

My Story = Every morning I get up and pour myself a cup of coffee using my MBTS mug. I can't bring myself to use any other cup! It makes each day go so much better when I can wake up and be reminded that no matter what happenns, I'm More Blessed Than Stressed!

A few weeks ago, Stephanie and I ran in to our local TARGET store to pick up a few things. As we were checking out, the cashier said, "Hey, I really like your shirt." Of course, it was my More Blessed Than Stressed T-shirt. I told her about you, and the website. You never know how it might touch someone.

You know everyone at work just loves their "more blessed than stressed" book marks. We all have them in front of our computers so we can tell people what it means when they come in. Also, I really appreciated the note you sent me Sunday explaining a little more about the program. I've got to go on line and order some more. They make such nice gifts to put in a card to people! Hey Kaye,

I've been meaning to tell you this for a little over a month now...right before Christmas, when all things normal go to pot and life is not ours anymore, but given over to the craziness that now commercialized the holiday, I was wearing (might proudly, if I might add) my pink MBTS shirt. I ran in Wal-Mart, not really thinking of what I was wearing and the older lady at the front greeted me with "I LOVE YOUR SHIRT," to which others turned to look. Even I had to look down to see what she was talking about...and that continued on throughout my shopping trip in that Wal-Mart. I didn't think of linking the MBTS to the holiday, but obviously others did! I do believe Wal-Mart is where you should look to market you wares!

Hi Kaye,

My mugs arrived safe and sound! I don't do coffee (I'm not old enough yet...I just turned 49...lol), but I enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate in my new mug right before I opened this email. They really are very nice. I'm going to pick up some Hershey's Kisses today to fill the other mugs with before I give them away. I'm sure they will enjoy the chocolates, but not nearly as much as the inspirational message on their mug.

Benjamin Franklin's Thirteen Subjects

Instead of focusing on New Year's Resolutions - which, by the way, the media reported earlier this week most people have already given up on - I'd like to look at Benjamin Franklin's Thirteen Subjects. It is reported that he'd spend a week on each one, attempting to master each in sequence and then repeat the sequence. See what you think.
(just as he wrote them down, and the order in which he used them)

Temperance - Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
Silence - Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
Order - Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
Resolution - Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
Frugality - Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
Industry - Lose no time; be always employ'd in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
Sincerity - Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
Justice - Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.

Hi Kaye, I'm not at all a crafty person, but I got my MBTS mugs filled with candy and thought they were cute, so I thought I'd let my great-nephew, Landon, pose with one...lol!

I used silver tissue paper, which looks nice with the black mug, but in the pic the silver Kisses kind of get lost, so I stuck a few Werther's in there too.

I'll let you know how they go over. I'm sure they'll be a big hit!
